Singapore’s Update on Standard for 13A Fused Connection Unit !
On March 30,2023, Enterprise Singapore published an update on the registration requirement of 13A fused connection units (switched), which are classified as Controlled Goods (CGs) under the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements)Regulations (CPSR).
Below are the main points:
1. Starting from 31 December 2024 onwards, only test reports for SS 145-4:2022 (or newer editions when available) will be accepted as supporting documents for new or renewal registration applications of this CG under the CPSR.
2. As from now until 30 December 2024, SS 403 test reports still can be accepted for new or renewal application.
3. Retailer or distributor is allowed to continue selling the existing stock of 13A fused connection unit(switched) in Singapore from 31 Dec 2024, if they have a valid CoC. However, if you plan to renew their CoC subsequently, do note that only SS 145-4:2022 (or newer editions when available) test reports will be accepted for renewal applications.
